Fellowship & Gospel Centered Teaching
People in Every Walk of Life
Every Sunday at 10:30am we gather together for a time of worship through song, prayer and hearing the gospel preached. Our services are around an hour and a half and feature and expository sermon that is typically 40 minutes in length.
To help you concentrate on the truth of the gospel during our service, we offer nursery for ages 3 and under. Parents are asked to sign in their child each week and note that your child will not be released except to the same parent.
Our youth, grades 7- 12, meet weekly to grow together as friends and to grow in their understanding of the gospel. It is our great desire to encourage our youth into Christian maturity so that their love of the Lord and the saving work He accomplished is recognized as more valuable than the shallow pleasures the world offers them.
Kidmo is our church's preteen ministry that serves as a bridge between Lighthouse and Youth. Our preteens come to play games, eat snacks, make friends and learn about the gospel. Our youth come to begin to learn how to be ministers of the gospel to those younger than themselves. At the same time, our preteens build relationships with the youth so that the transition into youth group is natural.
The men at Maranatha meet together several times a year for breakfast, fellowship and to be built up by gospel centered teaching. Often the time of fellowship is followed by a time of work as the men work to maintain the grounds of the church. While being hard work, the time together serves the men very well to grow them together in their common tasks.
Most Sundays our church dismisses the children in the church ages 4 through to grade 7 to one of our three Sunday School classes for Lighthouse. The children learn many of the same truths as the adults in the service and at an age appropriate level.
KidsCare is an outreach into the community by Maranatha offering Daycare, Preschool, and an Out of School Care program to parents in the Abbotsford area. For more information please see the KidsCare website here.
College and Career at Maranatha consists of regular Bible studies and social events. As life's challenges ramp up after graduation so too does our need to learn to fully depend on God. C&C is the best place to join with and build new friendships that have the gospel as their foundation.
Meeting monthly for lunch and weekly for study and fellowship anyone able to make it out during the day joins together for mutual support, encouragement and to learn more of the gospel. Both the monthly lunches and weekly studies are timed to fit the schedule of seniors but are open to all ages.
Care groups at Maranatha are the primary way for people in the church to maintain healthy Christian friendships that are developed around our common belief in the gospel. Our care groups meet weekly and provide a time for fellowship, prayer, and Bible study.
